In the book of Tobit, we know that the Archangel Raphael was sent by God to defeat the demon Asmodeus from Sarah. Of course, God will not send Raphael without the necessary powers to defeat Asmodeus, therefore, the Archangel Raphael defeated Asmodeus and chained him with God's power.
Asmodeus may be the most powerful of devils, but it would be wrong to assume he flexes his power through the use of brute force.
