Konami's Silent Hill franchise is the king of the genre. The reason it rules the horror gaming genre is that it is filled with terrifying sequences. There is an abundance of frightening video games on the market.
Silent Hill is a great flick with some terrifying moments, nice creative gore (ever see someone get their entire skin ripped off? tune in) and a satisfying story with a really interesting twist.
