Ronaldo Nazario is the new owner of Cruzeiro, the team where he rose to fame and allowed him to move to Europe. Also owner of Spanish side Real Valladolid, Ronaldo confirmed the agreement alongside the president of the Brazilian team, Sergio Santos Rodrigues.
In 1994, the Brazilian real replaced the cruzeiro real at the rate of 1 Brazilian real to 2,750 cruzeiro reals, the average exchange rate of the US dollar. It was done to stabilise the country's economy.
