HBO's new zombie apocalypse series The Last of Us could be damn near close to gold. The Canadian-shot adaptation of a post-apocalyptic video game, starring Pedro Pascal, debuted its first episode last night. Back in 2013, a little video game called The Last of Us changed the post-apocalyptic zombie genre.
The Last of Us is a buzzy HBO adaptation of the award-winning 2013 video game of the same name. We follow Pedro Pascal (from The Mandalorian and Narcos) as Joel Miller, a grieving father scraping by 20 years after the outbreak of a human-infecting mutated cordyceps fungus.
