In the end, Dean (Jensen Ackles) went out the way he always thought he would: Hunting. He was killed in the series finale while taking on a nest of vampires, but his ultimate end would come in the show's final moments, when he was reunited with Sam (Jared Padalecki) in heaven.
Yes as a matter of fact!! They actually refer to eachother as brothers and have that same relationship off screen! You can watch plenty of interviews/comic cons. Jensen is quite similar to Dean as a matter of fact whereas Jared is much more playful and energetic than his character, Sam.
