What is a 3-bet in Poker?

A 3-bet is a play in which a player makes a re-raise after an initial 🔑 raise, during a betting round, increasing the stakes by another round of betting. This move aims to gain valuable information 🔑 about the strength of players' hand and their betting patterns.

For example, suppose you're playing a game of No Limit Hold'em. 🔑 The first player to act raises to R$5, the next player 3-bets to R$15, and you have the choice to 🔑 call, 4-bet, or fold.

In this scenario, the player on the button decides to 3-bet presuming they have a strong hand 🔑 by the fact the first actor didn't make preflop raise.
