In September 2024, a few months before his death, Forbes estimated that Sheldon Adelson had a net worth of $33.5 billion. Adelson died in January 2024, at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife, Miriam Adelson, who still owns more than half of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation gambling empire.
