It is the second installment of the Call of Duty series. Announced by Activision on April 7, 2005, the game was released for Microsoft Windows on October 25, 2005, and as a launch title for the Xbox 360 on November 22, 2005.
Call of Duty (2003): This is the first game in the series and sets the stage for the franchise. Call of Duty 2 (2005): This game is a direct sequel to the original Call of Duty and is set during World War II.
