What is a 3-bet in Poker?

A 3-bet is a play in which a player makes a re-raise after an initial 馃挴 raise, during a betting round, increasing the stakes by another round of betting. This move aims to gain valuable information 馃挴 about the strength of players' hand and their betting patterns.

For example, suppose you're playing a game of No Limit Hold'em. 馃挴 The first player to act raises to R$5, the next player 3-bets to R$15, and you have the choice to 馃挴 call, 4-bet, or fold.

In this scenario, the player on the button decides to 3-bet presuming they have a strong hand 馃挴 by the fact the first actor didn't make preflop raise.
