How much skill or strategy you use depends on the time and effort you are willing to put into learning these skills. One such skill is card counting-not like by casinos but certainly not illegal.
A basic betting strategy is simply to double the bet after losing a hand, also known as the Martingale system. This can go for multiple hands in a row until you win at blackjack.
