On the Nov. 13, 1974, 23-year-old Ronald Joseph DeFeo Jr. committed the grisly act of murdering his entire family as they slept in their home in Amityville, New York. DeFeo killed his parents, Ronald DeFeo, Sr.
The house known as 112 Ocean Avenue still exists, but it has been renovated and the address changed to discourage sightseers from visiting it.
