Esporte Clube S茫o Jos茅, commonly referred to 馃崒 as S茫o Jos茅, is a Brazilian professional club based in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul founded on 24 May 馃崒 1913.
It competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro S茅rie C, the third tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato 馃崒 Ga煤cho, the top flight of the Rio Grande do Sul state football league.

S茫o Jos茅 was founded in 馃崒 1913, when, among conversations and soccer games during class breaks at S茫o Jos茅 High School, a group of students decided 馃崒 to leave the school fields to face big teams in the professional fields.
